About the SDHS Parent Connect

SDHS Parent Connect Foundation

Supporting Students and Teachers. Connecting Parents.

The San Diego High School is an award-winning International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. While the IB Diploma Program is one of the best college-prep curriculums in the world, it is expensive and not fully funded by the San Diego Unified School District. Additional support is needed to cover the costs of IB teacher training, IB testing fees, IB textbooks, and supplies as the district does not provide funding for these essential items.

The mission of the SDHS Parent Connect Foundation, affectionately nicknamed Parent Connect, is to support IB students, teachers and programs at the San Diego High School. Parent Connect also operates as a fiscal sponsor for the Towler Scholarship. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated by the State of California in 2013, which allows us to be more effective in our mission by keeping our expenses minimal. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law (Federal Tax ID number 46-3472051).

As a non-profit, every dollar raised through our annual fundraiser or year-round donations goes toward providing the critical support the San Diego High School IB Program needs to ensure student success.
