San Diego High School is a pillar of the San Diego community and has been serving generations of students since its founding in 1882.
SDHS is an IB World School that boasts highly engaging and rigorous courses preparing students for university. SDHS also offers multiple California Partnership Academies including the Academy of Finance, GeoTech, and MedTech that provide mentorship, internships, field trips, and immersive learning experiences.
In addition to academic enrichment, SDHS offers a myriad of extracurricular opportunities for students, including seasonal sports teams, ASB, Concert Bands, Choir, Color Guard, Drama, Orchestra, Yearbook, and a constantly growing list of school clubs which engage the interests of the student body.

We are excited to enter the last part of Phase I construction. In Summer of 2025 we are scheduled to open our 100 Building Main Office in Fall 2025 and proceed to start on the work of our upper quad, 300 Building HVAC units, 500 Building, 600 Building, and our Counseling Center. This means we will be closed for summer school this summer and only open for our student athletes through specific gates for practices. Our temporary office is still scheduled to stay open through June 20, 2025 for our families. We will be officially closed the remainder of the summer until August 4, 2025 for Orientation Week.
