The MedTech Academy is a small learning community at San Diego High School designed around a sequence of courses that fulfill college entrance requirements while building skills that help students gain access to the most cutting-edge and in-demand careers. Students explore the biomedical sciences and find the career that is right for them.
MedTech students are eligible for exclusive internships across San Diego County, including Scripps Health Care, Salk Institute for Biological Sciences, Life Sciences Summer Institute and ScienceBridge at UCSD. These opportunities build resumes with experience that gets students hired.
SDHS is one of only two schools in San Diego Unified School district that offer Biomedical Sciences curriculum by award-winning Project Lead the Way. In these unique courses, students interact with biomedical concepts in project-based, hands-on learning.
