Special Education
San
Diego High School serves students with a wide
range of physical disabilities and cognitive challenges. Our special
education students are an equal part of our school community. We create a
culture of belonging by providing educational access and meaningful
opportunities equal to those of their non-disabled peers.
Our program
includes adapted physical education, functional language arts,
mathematics, science and social sciences, and transitional skills.
Students also receive a range of special services, including
occupational and physical therapy and speech-language pathology, to meet
the needs identified in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). At San
Diego High School we aim to support every student when they
need it, where they need it, and how they need it.
